Welcome back, it’s Tuesday, which mean’s it’s also Top 10 Tuesdays, which is now hosted by Jana @ThatArtsyReaderGirl, make sure to check her blog out!
There are probably too many books to count for this, but I did my best picking ones that I’ve enjoyed so much and held such wonder and excitement on the first read. I hope you all enjoy!
Anyways, here’s the list:
This series is so much fun, I think it would be awesome to be able to read it again for the first time. I’d love to get to know these zany characters with fresh eyes. Now that the series is complete, it would be interesting to read it for the first time and be able to keep reading until I finished it, rather than having to wait every few years until the next one was published.
This book was such an emotional read for me, I sincerely wish I could read it like it was the first time. I actually would like to read this book again, anyway, to see whether or not it would affect me the same as it did on first reading it.
I read this book such a long time ago, but even now I can remember how chilling and how engrossed I was reading it. Since it’s been so long, I could almost pretend I was reading it again for the first time. The only think that really holds me back is that I know the twist now.
This is one of my favorite books of all time, so it would be awesome to read it again for the first time. It was just so magical and I fell in love with it right away and thus started my introduction to Levine’s books. I love her as a writer and it would be so awesome to read this book again like it was the first time and fall in love all over again.
This book was such a page-turner when I read it for the first time. I would love to re-live that excitement and suspense I felt as I tore through the story. I have since read Battle Royale which many consider the inspiration (or source material Collins ripped-off, depending on your viewpoint) for this story, so it would be interesting if I could read this for the first time, but this time have already read Battle Royale. I’d be curious what my feelings would be on the matter.
Again, another magical book and an inspiring read. The ending is so heart-wrenching so it I almost don’t want to re-live that experience for the first time, but this story is just so beautiful that I think it would be worth it.
Man, the first time I read this book I was cracking up! This book made me actually laugh out loud and I would love to experience that again. I think this book would be a hoot to read again for the first time.
I was blown away by the intricacies of this story. It would be a really interesting book for me to read again for the first time, simply because it’s such a thought-provoking book, I do wish I could experience that again. I wonder if my experience would have been different had I read the book instead of listened to the audio. The audio is amazing, so I think I’d probably want to re-live that experience.
Another book that has a twist that would be amazing to re-live. This book creeped me out so much! I think it’s just the kind of experience that you’d want to relive, simply because you can’t replicated it with second and third readings. Once you know the twist, you don’t get that same level of anxiety and suspense. Still, an amazing book that I’ll definitely be re-reading anyway.
I wanted to end on this book simply because it’s such a classic and once you know the twist, you’re going to read the book differently from then on. Every time I re-read this book, I am studying it for little clues that I anticipate since I know every scrap of evidence that Poirot finds that helps him solve the crime. Man, it would be so fun to read this again for the first time!
