I’ve decided for these Top 5 Saturdays, I will be looking exclusively at books I want to read, but haven’t yet. It’ll keep things interesting. I’ll only include books I’ve read if I absolutely can’t help myself 😁
Anyway, let’s get to it!
Books I want to read…
I have heard so much about this series and about Schwab’s books. I think the premise for this book sounds really exciting! Two friends who discover that people can develop super-powers, only to have a falling out and they become archenemies. I mean, sound’s pretty kick-ass. I hope to read this book soon!
Like with Vicious, this book sounds like it’s got the “found family gone wrong” situation going on. A group of Shakespearean actor friends in college and a murder, and only one get’s the blame and goes to jail…but what really happened? This sounds so intriguing, I just hope it ends up being as awesome as it seems to be…
I ended up putting this book on my TBR because I saw that it was being adapted for the screen and I love a good book to movie adaptation. Plus, look at that title…I mean, what is going on? Plus, I love a good written letter exchange, plus groups based around literary interests. This sounds like a winner, I just hope that it ends up being so!
This book sounds so funny! I only hope it fits this prompt of “found families” since I can’t exactly tell from the summary, but…I mean, the idea of a character not being the “chosen one,” but rather just an average joe who just wants to finish high school and ask out the girl he likes to prom, all with the backdrop of some funky supernatural/apocalyptic stuff going on…Sounds like it could be really fun!
This book sounds so cute! Three people coming together over their shared “brokenness” by average people standards just…it warms my heart! Plus, one of my good friends has recommended this book to me and I’ve been meaning to read it for-ever! I really hope to like it as much as I think I will!
