Wow, okay, so I stumbled across this read-a-thon and inadvertently found myself signing up to do it — I mean, it’s about THE AVENGERS, how can I not? This is also my first ever read-a-thon, so I’m nervous and excited and ready to see how things shake out!
This read-a-thon was created by The Perks of Being Noura and takes place from April 14 (today!) until May 14, in celebration of Avengers: Endgame coming out this month (do you have your tickets yet?). If you want to know all the details, check out Noura’s page, otherwise, let’s get right into my own assignments!
For my sanity, I’ll only be accepting 1 assignment, and that one is (FANFARE):

SPIDER-MAN!!!
I’m a huge Spider-man fan and he’s just classic Marvel. I’m so excited to see what Tom Holland does with the role in future films.
And now, my S.H.I.E.L.D assignments:
The Amazing Spider-Man: Graphic Novel/Comic
I have a lot of options here, since I love reading graphic novels and comics, but to keep myself sane, I’m piggybacking off on of my TBRs I already chose for the month of April:

Marvel 1602 is Neil Gaiman’s idea of what Marvel characters would look like and do in a historical period, in this case, Elizabethan England. I just cracked it open today, so I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in store for our Marvel heroes!
Oscorp: Revisit a Favorite Book

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Since I’m already doing a Harry Potter re-read this year, I think this comes in handy because I wanted to revisit the series, staring with the illustrated editions, in anticipation for the release, later this year, of the Goblet of Fire illustrated edition. I’m super excited for it
Spider-Man: Character with a Secret Identity
So, I read the first issue of Ms. Marvel back when it first came out and then didn’t keep up with it, but I want to pick it back up again, so this is the perfect opportunity! I’m looking forward to it, because this series is so much fun!
Peter Parker: Young Adult Book

Again, but Better. Another chance for me to double up! This is one of my April TBRs and I have not yet started it, so I can also use it for this Read-a-Thon! It’s a new adult, but I think it’s generally categorized as young adult, so it works for me!
Additionally, I have to choose one of Iron Man’s assignments and one of Shuri or Thor’s assignments. I chose:
Iron Man // Tony’s Suit: Book with Red on the Cover

Diary of a Murderer. Let’s just throw some crime into the mix. I recently added this book to my TBR and now I’m getting to it sooner rather than later, so that’s awesome! I hope it’s as good as the review I read says it is
Thor // Book with One Word Title

Angelfall. This book is on my TBR for one of my book challenges for this year, so I’m glad I’ll be getting to it and making it count in more than one way! I’m really curious about this sci-fi/fantasy book, so I’m pumped!
Thoughts?
So that’s my TBR for the #avengersreadathon19!!! What do you think of my choices and are you planning on participating in this awesome read-a-thon? Also, how excited are you for Avengers: Endgame? Let’s chat in the comments!
This sounds so cool! Enjoy!
